Feedback after travelling
Very well organised. All the guides were on time. The trip notes were very good.
The most important thing we can do to improve our service is listen to what our customers have to say, which is why you can now read their comments unedited on our website.
Upon returning from Southeast Asia all our clients are sent a review form and here you can see what they are saying about their experience of travel to the region and of the service we offered both during the trip planning process and in the build-up to the trip.
Search the reviews, check the image gallery and see for yourself how our clients rate the InsideAsia experience.

Loved the Aria in Hanoi. Emeralda in Nihn Bihn was beautiful but alot of driving and one half day was too short time in such a lovely resort. Loved the Bhaya boat in Hanong bay, Pilgrimage resort in Hue was excellent. Spa was overpriced unfortunately. We didn't use. Best hotel was the Hotel des Artes in Saigon.
The entire trip was fantastic. Hotels were top notch, Guides...
Everything was planned and executed perfectly.
Lots of spicy, flavorful food so be ready. Always had options available in case we didn't want spicy.
Great initial advice on climate and seasons (not what I...
I think post covid, I would book directly with SE Asia as this is relatively straight forward to navigate in English a region with quite high levels of tourism. I would be more tempted to use Inside Asia again for Japan, South Korea or a few places you could consider covering (Taiwan, Philippines, maybe even Micronesia!).
The menu on Vietnam Airlines could be a little odd. One restaurant in the info pack didn't work out. (Cau Go Vietnamese Cuisine). Left of field menu (broiled tortoise, pickled eel and pig ear salad)and massive speakers blasting music in from the street. We loved Morning Glory (Signature) Restaurant in Hoi An. Sala Lodges in Siem Reap was the best hotel on the trip. Very attentive owners and great concierge team. Azerai Ke Ga in Vietnam still undiscovered and great for the beach (not much else to do there apart from visit dragonfruit farms) I personally preferred Cambodia to Vietnam. Loved seeing Angkor with not so many tourists, trip to Tonle Sap and to Apodo NGO were highlights. My wife was a big fan of tailors in Hoi An and silk shopping in Siem Reap
We couldn't have had a better honeymoon in Vietnam. The...
I can't imagine traveling with another operator - you nailed it! This was the trip of a lifetime.
We LOVED the vespa tours!
This was our 4th trip with Inside Asia / Japan...
You provide the kind of 'independent' travel we want. The consultants are very knowledgeable, helpful and available. It's good to deal with the same person throughout the process. The accommodation is always excellent as are the itineraries, travel arrangements and suggested activities.
We were given bottles of water every time we got in the transport. We did actually drink them (sorry) but we did take also take our metal drinks bottles supplied by Inside Asia on a previous trip. Most of the hotels continue (like in the UK) to change towels even if we hung them up. A recycling bin in hotel rooms would also be good.
The food was great, especially our experience in the Red Garden Food Paradise in Georgetown. The breakfasts in the Liu Men hotel in Malacca were also superb. But really there's a huge variety of excellent food to be sampled in every place we visited. All the included experiences were great but in addition we would say that a visit to the Kek Lok Si temple and the nearby Penang Hill were essential. We were lucky that our guide from the morning was able to take us here as you'd need a taxi and the temple particularly is vast and complicated! Also in Georgetown the Pinang Peranakan Museum was superb with free guided tours at certain times.

Because you felt at all times you could contact them at any time if there were any issues. During our visit there was a small change to the itinerary which was dealt with behind the scenes, and had no impact on our trip at all
Nothing apparent.
Read and use the information pack provided. Listen to the guides recommendations. Try everything.
A well constructed programme. The driver and guides were excellent.
The trip design was very good. The quality of accomodation was excellent including a stay in a local style accomodation. The tips on what to do in each city was very good. The use of a data device made the trip really easy especially using the translation app.
An absolutely positive and fun-filled holiday. We had a wonderful...
From the moment I contacted InsideAsia right up to our return from the holiday we booked with them, everything ran smoothly and efficiently for us. No hitches or glitches.I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My husband and I were most impressed with the organisation of our rather complicated itinerary.
Encourage less use of plastic bags in these countries. Promote elephant conservation more, as well as the work of COPE, the legacy of the Vietnam War and its continuing effects on the people of both Laos and Vietnam.
Don't bring insect repellent and sunscreen in spraycans or spray bottles if travelling to Laos. Bring them as creams or lotions in squeeze bottles or tubes instead. This is because bags are scanned and checked before train travel there, and these items are confiscated as inflammables as they are marked as so on the cans. Western tourists tend to be the targets here, as most local and SE Asian travellers do not bother packing these 2 items on their travels within SE Asia.
Personalised and specialist service. Excellent recommendations of itineraries and excursions. I felt like I was getting a truly bespoke tour, and it was still great value.
Truly terrific family experience.
