Feedback after travelling
Would have made some changes in our trip arrangements that would have been more in line with what we wanted as originally stipulated now that we have visited Vietnam. This is a consideration, however we still enjoyed the trip.
The transport was excellent throughout the trip.
All guides were very professional and knowledgeable. Our guide in Ho Chi Minh City, Qwock, was very good in terms of his knowledge but he was somewhat talkative. It is important not to feel that every space needs to be filled with dialogue. Our guide in Hoi An and Hue was Ha, and she was delightful, personable, professional and knowledgeable. Finally, Sinh was our guide in Hanoi. He was great. Very professional, friendly and accommodating.
No particular environmental or social issues encountered.
The food was simply excellent. One of the highlights of the overall trip. I want to offer feedback on the other hand related to some of the activities selected that fell significantly short of expectations and in fact were safety issues. The day in Ben Tre (Day 7) included traveling on a Tuk Tuk. The back of the vehicle was quite high and the step provided was a small box that wasn't high enough. We grazed our knees on the flatbed several times with skin abrasions. The Mango Cruise itself was very nice, but getting on the boat was hazardous because there wasn't a simple boat dock with steps. Getting off the boat was much worse. There again were no proper docks with simple steps for disembarking. We had to cancel a portion of the trip to find some land least hazardous in terms of incline to get off the boat for my wife and myself. It was unsafe. It was also the poorest experience of the trip for us and absolutely not what we should have experienced based on what we paid for in terms of our vacation. We had lunch after getting off the boat with the help of several locals and we cancelled the rest of the trip and returned to Ho Chi Minh City. This was poor.
Overall we had a wonderful trip and your partner in...
