Our favorite routes in Malaysia to inspire your trip

Malaysia contains multitudes. Sure, it has its popular hotspots (George Town, we’re looking at you) but when it’s so easy to get around, there’s no reason you need to stick to the tourist trail.

Such freedom means the itinerary options are endless. If you want to be city one day, in the rainforest the next, and on the beach the day after that – you can (though we wouldn’t advise it). If you want to ditch the city stuff altogether and spend your time in homestays, jungle camps and indigenous villages instead, you can do that too.

What we’re trying to say is this: the itineraries in this section contain some of our personal favorite Malaysian experiences, but your perfect trip might look completely different. Take these routes as inspiration, tell us what you want to get from your vacation, and we’ll build you something to fit you.
