Koh Rong Samloem
A short boat ride from Cambodia's southern coastline lies its beautiful untouched islands, and Koh Rong Samloem is definitely the cream of the crop when it comes to idyllic paradises.
Situated a short 45 minute speed ferry from the bustling town of Sihanoukville lies Koh Rong Samloem, one of Cambodia's most pristine and underdeveloped islands. Like Koh Rong, its big brother next door, Koh Rong Samloem provides a beautiful oasis for some relaxation at the end of your tour.
Picture swaying coconut trees, hammocks, fine white sand beaches, clear turquoise waters and you are halfway there. It's a small island with only two sides to it. Lazy Beach on one side is a little livelier and more "backpackery", Saracen Bay on the other side is anything but. Being a large bay, the water is absolutely still, just like a mirror. With only a handful of small guesthouses and boutique properties it is, in our opinion, the most idyllic and peaceful place in all of Southeast Asia. It's also a great place for snorkelling off its local reefs or diving at nearby Koh Rong. Alternatively just lie back with a book in hand, and enjoy the serenity of this untouched paradise.
