Day 1-4

Seoul

Bike Tour
Highlights:
Pedal Past Palaces

Cycle through Seoul by e‑bike, to royal palaces through backstreets and along the Cheonggycheon river

From Power Kicks to Pop Hits

Try Korea’s national martial art, taekwondo and learn a K‑pop dance routine

Zip, Walk and Wander Nami

Optional day trip – we suggest Nami island, a famous K-drama filming site with pine tree lined lanes and, if you’re feeling adventurous, a zipline

South Korea’s capital is an exciting place to kick things off – and we’ll make it easy to navigate. On arrival, you’ll be whisked directly to your hotel by private transfer and handed your own T‑Money travel cards and pocket Wi‑Fi device. No faffing with e-sims or navigating public transport after a long flight.

Over the next few days, you’ll explore the city. On a guided e‑bike tour, you’ll wind through the big sights like Gyeongbok Palace and Bukchon Hanok village, but also the backstreets of the more hidden west village and Tongin traditional market. Try their famous fried tteokbokki rice cake.

Swap sightseeing for pop culture at a K‑pop dance class – fun, high‑energy, and a firm favourite for fans of Korean music and drama. For a more traditional take, there’s a hands‑on taekwondo session to introduce you to the moves from Korea’s national martial art.

We’ve also built in a day free for your family to choose their own adventure, whether that’s tasting your way through viral street food snacks, like the tornado potato or gyeranppang (small, fluffy bread loaf with an entire egg inside!), picking up the latest K-pop merch in Myeongdong or singing your heart out in your own family karaoke room (noraebang). If you want to get out of the city, head to Nami island for a breath of fresh air. There’s famous K-drama filming locations, cultural art spaces and even a zipline onto the island for the adrenaline junkies in your family.

Transport

Day 1:
Car transfer from Incheon airport to Seoul (50 minutes)

Day 5-7

Busan

Busan
Highlights:
Markets, colour and curiosities

Explore Jagalchi Fish Market’s weird‑and‑wonderful sea creatures, then wander the rainbow streets of Gamcheon Culture Village, packed with photo spots and quirky shops

Cook like a local

Get hands‑on in a Korean cooking class, learning dishes you’ll recognise from menus – and maybe even K‑dramas

Beach views with real wow‑factor

Ride the Sky Capsule along the coast, relax on Haeundae Beach and take in skyline views from Busan X the Sky, home to the world’s highest Starbucks

Busan, Korea’s second city, opens right out onto the sea. You’ll board the KTX high‑speed train from the capital – a smooth, comfortable journey that whizzes you down to the coast.

With a local guide, you’ll spend a day discovering the highlights of West Busan. Wander through Jagalchi Fish Market, where tanks brim with weird and wonderful sea creatures and you can try dried shrimp and seaweed. Your guide will lead you on to Gamcheon Culture Village, a maze of brightly painted houses and narrow lanes, perfect for snapping photos, browsing quirky shops and picking up cute souvenirs.

Hopefully you’ll have tried plenty of Korean favourite foods in Seoul – now, it’s time to make them yourself. The whole family gets involved in a cookery class. You might be rolling kimbap rice rolls or dousing tteokbokki in a sweet spicy sauce – whatever is on the menu, you’ll leave with a new recipe or two up your sleeve.

There’s time to enjoy Busan at your own pace, too. Relax on the sands of Haeundae Beach, take in sweeping views from the 99th floor of Busan X the Sky (home to the world’s highest Starbucks), or ride the Sky Capsule train as it glides along the coastline. In the evening, explore Haeundae Market and try a local favourite – a blow‑torched giant marshmallow.

Transport

Day 5:

High-speed train transfer from Seoul to Busan (2 hours 40 minutes)

Private transfer from station to hotel (50 minutes)

Day 8-10

Jeju Island

Jeju
Highlights:
Island freedom

Explore Jeju by rental car – beaches, scenic drives and spontaneous stops – it’s as active or as laid‑back as your family feels

Immersive art

Step into the ARTE Museum, where digital art, light and sound bring Jeju’s landscapes to life

Nature with an edge

From surfing beaches and lava caves to volcanic hikes

Trade busy cities for open landscapes on Jeju Island. After a short flight, pick up your rental car and settle into a more independent style of travel. A visit to the ARTE Museum offers an artistic introduction to the island, with immersive digital installations inspired by nature, light and sound. It’s visually impressive and easy to enjoy whatever your age.

As you might expect from an island, there are plenty of beaches to choose from. Head to hipster Hyeopjae beach for a bit of surfing, Woljeongri for its white sands and cafés or Iho Taewoo with its horse-shaped lighthouses. With your rental car, you don’t have to choose one over another, you can explore them all.

Beaches not your thing? Hike the Hallasan volcano, explore the Manjanggul Lava caves or (if you time it right) see the free diving Haenyeo women dive beneath the waves to harvest seafood without any breathing equipment.

The beauty of this trip? You can be as adventurous or as relaxed as you choose on Jeju.

We do have one surprise up our sleeve for thrill seekers, the Seoul Sky Bridge. 555 metres up one of the world’s tallest buildings, the Lotte World Tower, you’ll be harnessed-up to take the walk across, with (quite literally) breathtaking wide- views across the city.

The rest of your time is deliberately left open, a flexible, easy ending that lets everyone finish the trip feeling relaxed – and already planning your next South Korea holiday.

Is this trip for you?

What's great

  • K‑pop, IRL: learn real choreography in a K‑pop dance class and tap straight into K‑drama culture
  • Active, and never boring: e‑biking, a taekwondo class and coastal exploring keep everyone moving (and phones mostly forgotten)
  • Freedom built in: time to shop, café‑hop, sing your heart out at noraebang or just chill –not every minute is scheduled
  • Natural and urban contrasts: neon Seoul, beach‑side Busan and Jeju’s volcanic landscapes all in one trip
  • Made for teens: cool, hands‑on experiences that don’t feel childish

Things to consider

  • You’ll need to carry your own luggage on and off trains – where baggage space will be limited. We recommend packing as light as possible to make transfers easier.
  • If you choose to include a hanok stay in Gyeongju this will be on a traditional futon mattress, at floor level. Otherwise, western-style beds are available throughout.
  • This is a public transport focused tour – and therefore, you’ll need to be comfortable walking around every day. This includes some steep incline and declines for the temple in Gyeongju and Busan (which are on mountain/cliff sides).
