South Korea Bukhansan National ParkSwathed in a blanket of pine trees and dotted with secluded temples, Bukhansan National Park rears up behind Seoul like a jagged granite crown. Its myriad peaks will allow you to pick your level of exertion quite precisely – anything from a gentle forest stroll to an exhilarating pant to the top. Singapore Sentosa IslandGaudy, artificial, and just a little bit insane, Sentosa Island is Las Vegas meets Disneyland meets sprawling beach resort — Singapore-style. Singapore Pulau UbinAlmost a timewarp to the Singapore of the 1960s, the little island of Pulau Ubin is the perfect counterpoint to the city’s urban sprawl. Singapore Orchard RoadWe tend to think that Singapore is a little overrated as a shopping destination — with the exception of Orchard Road. Singapore Marina BayIf you’ve got a list of things you want to do and see in Singapore, the chances are most of them are at Marina Bay. Singapore Little IndiaEast of Chinatown and north of Kampong Glam, Little India has the same old-fashioned, village-like feel as those districts — but with a distinctly Indian flavour. Singapore Kampong GlamKampong Glam is a little glimpse of the Singapore that used to be, with dinky convenience stores, scruffy cafés selling butter coffee and old men hanging out at barber shops. Singapore Holland VillageEstablished by the Dutch but named after an Englishman (architect Hugh Holland), European influence of all sorts has radiated out of Holland V for decades.
