Inside Asia Tours: Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos

The beaches of southern Vietnam

From ultra-luxurious resorts in hidden bays to popular beachside towns, southern Vietnam has beach options to cater for all tastes and budgets.

Nha Trang

Nha Trang has a well-earned reputation as Vietnam's top beach destination. With miles of sandy beach right on the city's doorstep and with the surrounding islands within easy reach, Nha Trang is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine, beach and lively resort atmosphere. It is possible to arrange day trips out to the nearby islands as well as snorkelling and diving excursions.

For those seeking a little more seclusion, nestled in the private bays across the water from Nha Trang are some of Vietnam's most exclusive resorts. Accessible only by speed boat, these luxurious resorts are some of the finest in the country and take advantage of this beautiful stretch of shoreline.

Mui Ne and Phan Thiet

Further south are the beaches of Mui Ne and Phan Thiet. Mui Ne is a popular beachside destination for those wanting to escape Ho Chi Minh City, as the quick three-hour train ride makes it an easy and accessible option. With this in mind, it's no surprise that there are plenty of quality resorts and accommodation to suit every budget here.

The local town is full to the brim with beach-goers, resorts and cafes, but just a little further out you will find some emptier stretches of beach perfect for more secluded relaxation.
