Inside Asia Tours: Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos

The beaches of central Vietnam

Blessed with both fabulous beaches and a rich cultural heritage, this is the perfect option for those who like to combine relaxation and exploration.

The stretch of central Vietnamese coast around Danang and Hoi An boasts a range of great beach options. Stretches of China Beach in Danang and the great sweep of Cua Dai Beach close to Hoi An are home to a selection of excellent seafront resorts, perfect for honeymooners, families, and anyone simply in search of some relaxing beach time.

Taking a beach break in this region comes with the added benefit of some fascinating historical and cultural sites - including the beautiful 15th-century port town of Hoi An and the ancient Hindu ruins of My Son. From February to August, snorkelling and diving trips out to the Cu Lao Cham Marine Park are also popular.

When to go:

This region receives the majority of its rainfall from September to December, when the sea can be rough and typhoons occasionally pass through. The best time to visit is from March to August.
