Hanoi welcomes European chefs
Tourists who are feeling a bit homesick for their native cuisine may want to check out the European Food Festival which will be held at the National Library in Hanoi.
The event, which is now in its eighth year, is set to take place on May 18th and will showcase European cuisine from hotels in the capital.
Among the five-star hotels taking part in the competition, which is organised by the European Business Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, include the Melia Hanoi, the Intercontinental Wesklake Hanoi and the Legend Metropole Hanoi.
If you're keen on sampling the local cuisine then there are plenty of opportunities to visit the city's Vietnamese restaurants, or why not sample street food from one of the many vendors at the side of the road?
Anyone keen to take their love of Vietnamese food further can have a go at getting to grips with making it themselves.
There are a number of cooking classes available. Hidden Hanoi is one option which also offers Vietnamese language classes and walking tours.
The Sofitel Metropole Hotel has lessons in Vietnamese cooking for anyone who is inspired by their dishes.
