Get to know the locals at a traditional homestay, often found in the most remote and beautiful parts of Vietnam.
A homestay gives you the chance to meet and make friends with local people from across Vietnam in their own environment, and bring welcome income directly to the local community. In Mai Chau, Ha Giang and Ba Be we can arrange a stay at a traditional wooden stilt house in one of Vietnam's minority villages, while in the Mekong Delta we can arrange a night in a traditional Chinese merchants' house.
Another lovely option is Bai Huong Village on Cham Island, a two-hour boat ride from Hoi An. The island's coasts are protected, preventing boats from getting too close, so you can enjoy an afternoon's snorkelling, kayaking or swimming in pristine waters. At many of our homestays your host family will show you how to make local dishes before sitting down to eat dinner together.
This is a fantastic way to get out into the countryside, experience life in rural Vietnam, and get to know some of the local people.
