You will be met at your hotel by their specialist guide and transferred to a beautiful elephant oasis just 40 minutes outside of Luang Prabang. On arrival you'll receive a brief orientation and introduction to the sanctuary by one of the directors, learning the challenges they've faced and how they are trying to improve the situation one elephant at a time. Then you will spend the rest of the morning with the elephants and their mahouts, witnessing the unique bond that they have established while trekking with them through rice paddies and meandering creeks, also getting the incredible opportunity to feed and bath the elephants in the river.
