Our team at InsideAsia Tours
The sun never sets on the InsideAsia Tours team (well, maybe on Sundays) and here you can meet the people behind our Southeast Asian tours and holidays.
We have a wide range of backgrounds and interests, but you can be sure that the one thing that ties us all together is a love of travel, foreign cultures and a passionate desire to share that with other people.
From the accounts department, through the travel consultant teams to the tour leaders and guides on the ground, you can rest assured that everything we do is to make sure you have the best possible experience in Asia.
Originally from Brixham, a fishing town in bucolic south Devon, Charlotte is part of our dedicated team of InsideAsia travel consultants who work hard to put together fantastic holidays in Southeast Asia.
In terms of globetrotting and the travel industry, Charlotte has certainly earned her stripes! Before joining us at InsideAsia she worked for a year and a half in a travel vaccination clinic (though she was not the one doing the injecting!), at a kit-out store selling walking boots and other adventure paraphernalia, and for nine months as a deckhand on a maxi racing yacht in the Whitsunday Islands in Australia - where she sailed, led snorkelling trips and guided visitors to the third most beautiful beach in the world. Not a bad job, when you think about it!
Charlotte has also seen plenty of the travel industry from the other side, having explored Europe, South America, Australia, and of course Southeast Asia. On her most recent visit, she spent her time researching destinations for InsideAsia and was particularly enamoured with Halong Bay in Vietnam and Angkor Wat in Cambodia - as well as the lesser-known but beautiful Laos jungle around the Houayxai area.
What is your top tip for visitors to Southeast Asia?
"Include a day of slow travel - rather than travelling by plane or car, experience more of the country on a bike ride or boat transfer."
