Our team at InsideAsia Tours
The sun never sets on the InsideAsia Tours team (well, maybe on Sundays) and here you can meet the people behind our Southeast Asian tours and holidays.
We have a wide range of backgrounds and interests, but you can be sure that the one thing that ties us all together is a love of travel, foreign cultures and a passionate desire to share that with other people.
From the accounts department, through the travel consultant teams to the tour leaders and guides on the ground, you can rest assured that everything we do is to make sure you have the best possible experience in Asia.
When Grant spent two weeks visiting a friend in Japan, he had no idea what a profound effect it would have on the rest of his life.
During his first stint in Japan, Grant split his time between Nagoya (the home of our Japan branch) and Kanazawa, citing the latter as his favourite place in Japan. With so much to see and do - from beaches to mountains, hot springs, a castle, geisha districts, samurai houses, great shopping, and one of the most beautiful gardens in Japan - he insists Kanazawa deserves much more attention than it currently gets!
After returning to the USA for two-and-a-half years, Grant hadn't finished with Japan just yet, and went back for a stretch as an English teacher. After five years in Gunma Prefecture, he returned to his native Colorado to join our InsideJapan team, but there were still swathes of Asia he longed to see.
Getting itchy feet, Grant set off again to explore Southeast Asia - experiencing everything from cruising down the Mekong to taking a Vespa street food tour. Now with his feet firmly back on US soil, he's busy helping other travelers get to the heart of the region.
As well as a keen interest in history, Grant has a penchant for geology, loves hiking (particularly Colorado's 14ers) and enjoys home brewing and blogging about beer!
