Inside Asia Tours: Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos

Our team at InsideAsia Tours

The sun never sets on the InsideAsia Tours team (well, maybe on Sundays) and here you can meet the people behind our Southeast Asian tours and holidays.

We have a wide range of backgrounds and interests, but you can be sure that the one thing that ties us all together is a love of travel, foreign cultures and a passionate desire to share that with other people.

From the accounts department, through the travel consultant teams to the tour leaders and guides on the ground, you can rest assured that everything we do is to make sure you have the best possible experience in Asia.

Priteni Horning

Having grown up amidst Devon's idyllic rolling hills, it's no surprise Priteni is drawn to the countryside.

While she's now part of our esteemed Small Group Tours team in Bristol, Priteni loves hiking, cycling and trail running beyond the city limits, recently receiving a medal in her very first 12k trail event! Her Totnes to John o' Groats cycle was a little less successful, but she's not one to be defeated and is busy bracing herself (and her bike) for a second attempt...

Having always been fascinated by travel and other cultures, Priteni spent five months exploring Southeast Asia and Japan before university. Walking through the incense-filled air of Mount Koya in Japan; seeing Cambodia's magical Angkor temples first thing in the morning; and meeting elephants in Chiang Mai in Thailand were just three of her favourite experiences. Inspired, she went on to study Anthropology and having not shaken off the travel bug, spent two months working on her dissertation in Ecuador.

A self-confessed foodie, Priteni took a course in Persian cuisine ("just so I could spend lots of time eating tasty food") and took any excuse to try new dishes on her travels. Her tips for Southeast Asia include trying freshly squeezed sugar cane and a stop at one of the many sizzling pad thai stalls.

But what about Japan? Despite having some of the most refined restaurants in the world, Priteni skipped Michelin stars for fuss-free konbini (not your average corner shop) snacks. To keep her strength up while exploring, she would pick up umeboshi onigiri (rice balls with pickled plums - nicer than they sound), and a box of pocky (chocolate biscuit sticks). Who says Japan's all ramen and raw fish?
