Our team at InsideAsia Tours
The sun never sets on the InsideAsia Tours team (well, maybe on Sundays) and here you can meet the people behind our Southeast Asian tours and holidays.
We have a wide range of backgrounds and interests, but you can be sure that the one thing that ties us all together is a love of travel, foreign cultures and a passionate desire to share that with other people.
From the accounts department, through the travel consultant teams to the tour leaders and guides on the ground, you can rest assured that everything we do is to make sure you have the best possible experience in Asia.
Aside from a brief foray into Christmas tree selling in London's Greenwich Park, Brock's journey to InsideJapan has been a glamorous one.
After studying Film Production, he had a whirlwind career behind the scenes of Hollywood blockbusters. As well as working as a Prop Assistant for feature films, he was a social media guru for 20th Century Fox, Universal Pictures and eOne, working on some small titles you probably haven't heard of: X-Men, Fast and Furious 7 and The Grand Budapest Hotel to name but a few.
If there's one thing Brock's as passionate about as films, it's travel. After moving to New Zealand, he became a real-life Bilbo Baggins at the Hobbiton film set, and eight months later, swapped his search for the elusive 'one ring' for something equally as special: a move away from movies and into travel, bringing some stardust to the Bristol office.
As a film obsessive, Brock knows his Japanese cinema - from classics by Akira Kurosawa to Yasujiro Ozu to everyone's favourite Studio Ghibli titles, so it didn't take long for him to make friends in the office. Spirited discussions about the merits of Princess Mononoke (his favourite) vs. My Neighbor Totoro are inevitable though...
After visiting Japan, he only has one regret, not taking part in a hugely popular Japanese past-time: karaoke. After hearing about solo karaoke booths, it would have been the ultimate opportunity for this enthusiastic, but tone-deaf, singer to shine. There's always next time.
