Cycling Middle Myanmar

Take the long route from Mandalay to Bagan by hopping on a bike and covering the journey over a leisurely three day pedal instead

There is much to be seen on the route from Mandalay to Bagan and, foregoing the quick flight, a cycling trip over three days is a great way to cover the distance. You'll be on mountain bikes with a fully equipped biking guide and a backup vehicle for your luggage and supplies so all you need to worry about it providing the pedal power. Although the distances are no small feat (60 km the biggest on one of the days), by spreading this out across the day with plenty of sightseeing, including the world's tallest standing Buddha outside Monywa and a short boat ride from Pakokku, the gateway to Bagan.
