The River Resort (Champasak)
The River Resort is a delightful property, pleasantly situated in Champasak on the banks of the Mekong River. Across the road from the original Shinta Mani Club hotel, the Shinta Mani Resort is a brand new hotel just a short walk or tuk tuk ride from downtown Siem Reap and the night market. The hotel opened in summer 2013 and offers 62 rooms with either first floor balcony views or direct access to the large central swimming pool and tropical gardens. Designed by the renowned architect Bill Bensley, the modern minimalist style reflects the square architecture of the Angkor temples. Rooms are very sleek with concept lighting and smart shower rooms. The hotel has an all-day café/restaurant and guests can also visit the bars and restaurant across the road at the Shinta Mani Club. The hotel has a strong focus on responsible tourism and a percentage of each stay goes to the Shinta Mani Foundation which provides hospitality training, healthcare and funding for start-up businesses for disadvantaged Cambodians.
La Residence Hotel & Spa (Hue)
The elegant, art-deco La Residence, is widely considered the finest accommodation in the historic city of Hue. Originally constructed in 1930 as the official residence of the French regional governor, the property has been thoughtfully extended in recent years and transformed into a sophisticated but relaxed luxury hotel on the banks of the Perfume River.
