Cambodia is one of the least known but most diverse destinations in Asia, and the perfect place to set the guidebook aside and experience a slice of authenticity with a 15 day adventure through this fascinating country.

Beginning in Siem Reap, the gateway to the fabled temples of Angkor, take a trip by local tuk tuk through these ancient wonders and with a map and clues in hand, try to unravel the mysteries and myths of Angkor Thom, which 1000 years ago was the most populated city on earth.

There is much more to Siem Reap than just temples! Head out into the rural countryside for a day with a local family learning how to farm rice, take in a pottery class from a local artisan and wiz through the jungle on zip lines 30m above ground in the jungle canopy.

Travel from ancient civilisations, to modern day rural Cambodia with a trip to the little-visited Banteay Chhmar. Stay with a family here and immerse yourself within village life. Get involved in local seasonal activities, and feast with the community by firelight at a lost Angkorian temple.

Journey on to sleepy Battambang where you can jump on two wheels to cycle through the colonial heart of the city to the surrounding villages, passing by some beautifully green scenery. Dine at a local social enterprise restaurant to sample some of the best cuisine in the country before witnessing 100,000's of bats emerge from the caves surrounding the town.

Travel overland to the nation's energetic capital, stopping off for a boat trip on the beautiful Tonle Sap River to take in the floating villages of Kampong Chhnang. Dine with locals at a bustling barbeque restaurant, ride by cyclo through the city streets and the old French quarter, lunch at one of the friendliest restaurants in town (famous for its fried tarantulas - tasting definitely optional!), cycle its rural islets and take in a traditional and extremely lively dance performance.

Leaving the city behind, venture deep into the remote jungle with two nights staying at an eco-tented camp where you will have the opportunity for go trekking in search of the endangered wildlife and kayak along the pristine river. End your adventure with a slice of bliss, on the picturesque white sand beaches of Otres 2 in Sihanoukville on Cambodia's southern coast.

Note: Price based on family of four - two adults and two children under the age of 12 sharing a family or interconnecting room, except for Botum Sakor National Park where you will have two separate eco-tents.
