Tree Top Explorer
Immerse yourself in nature with this new adventurous experience, trek through the forest and zip line over the canopy!
The Tree Top Explorer is a new experience taking you deep into the jungle and mountains of Doung Hua Sao National Park in Southern Laos.
The experience begins in the village of Ban Nongluang where you'll meet the local village guides who will accompany you throughout your stay and lead you to the Tree Tops Jungle base. Trek through coffee plantations into the wild semi-evergreen jungle, cross the breath-taking canopy walkway high in the trees above the river valley passing by 'Tiger' waterfall to reach the giant 'Kamet' multi level waterfall where the water plunges more than 120 m down.
After a picnic lunch the zip lining fun begins! Starting from platforms in the trees the zip line cables crisscross the valley in front of waterfalls and across gorges. There are short cables for you to get a feel for the activity before taking on the 400m cable, a true adrenaline rush! When you have had your fill of flying through the canopy you'll continue to the jungle camp where you will be staying in tree houses!
On day two take on the Italian inspired via ferrata before returning to Ban Nongluang. The via ferrata uses iron U-bolts and hand grips to create a walkway along the rock face. This route is not long and you will be secured by high level safety gear. Emerging onto the high plateau you will be rewarded with stunning views of three waterfalls and beyond to the Mekong and neighbouring Thailand.
