Inside Vietnam: Cambodia Laos

Luang Prabang ballet

Unlike traditional Western ballet, Lao ballet performances combine striking poses to tell stories about culture and heritage.

Watch a performance at the Royal Ballet Theatre and it's bound to be one of the highlights of your visit to Luang Prabang. Founded in 2002 in cooperation with the Institute of Cultural Research, the Ballet aims to preserve Laos' cultural heritage, including scenes from the Lao Ramayana, traditional folk dances, and tribal dances.
