Inside Vietnam: Cambodia Laos

Private helicopter ride to Beng Mealea

Pay a visit to the remote temples of Beng Mealea and Koh Ker in spectacular style in a private helicopter.

The many temples of Cambodia are spectacular enough when explored on foot, but to grasp the true scope of the monuments there's no better way than from the air.

You'll board your private helicopter flight in Siem Reap, the gateway to Angkor Wat and the more famous temples of the Khmer Empire. From here you'll fly across country to Koh Ker, formerly a vast city built by the Khmers in the 10th century - serving as capital of the empire from 928-944 AD. This complex is far less visited than the so-called 'small circuit' of temples near Siem Reap, so as you disembark to explore you may well find yourselves the only souls around.

After seeing Koh Ker, you will continue across country to the temple of Beng Mealea, where you'll get a chance to explore the overgrown and completely unrestored buildings of the complex. Left to rack and ruin for centuries, Beng Mealea has only recently been made accessible and remains in much the same condition as it was found.

Finally, you'll take off again for your flight back to Siem Reap.
