The Garden Houses of Hue

Learn to appreciate the harmonious blend of home and nature in traditional Vietnamese architecture at the delightful Garden Houses of Hue.

Set in beautiful, landscaped gardens, Hue's celebrated Garden Houses offer both an insight into the lives of the upper echelons of Vietnamese society during the Nguyen Dynasty and introduces some of the finest remaining examples of traditional Vietnamese architecture.

Many of these properties have been passed down through numerous generations, and the current custodians are often the descendants of royalty or mandarins from years past. Though the number of these properties has diminished, a few (including the An Hien and Y Thao houses) continue to open their doors to visitors. A special treat is to join the owners in a wonderful meal of the finest Hue Royal Cuisine.
